After passing the Palanga bridge and turning left, there seem to be enough toilets, they stand next to each other, cabins are arranged for women, men, and the disabled, but on the right side of the bridge – emptiness. The toilets are far apart from each other, some toilets are hidden behind the dunes, and there are no distinguishing signs, so finding them becomes difficult.

Water stations are also missed
This problem could be solved by bio-toilets placed next to beach cafes and bars, but each of them is locked, so it is also impossible to use them.
“There definitely should be more toilets, especially on the right side. I can’t imagine what people relaxing in that part of the beach do,” one woman admitted. Others agreed with her, marveling at the much better situation on the beaches of the Latvian coast and recommending the Palanga city municipality to take an example from the neighboring country.
This year, six additional public toilets were installed in the resort, no additional public toilets are planned to be installed.

“When coming to rest with small children, searching for toilets becomes a real problem,” said a family.
Some vacationers also said they missed water stations for washing sand off their feet; according to them, there used to be more stations.
