This Saturday, May 30th, Nida will officially announce the start of the sailing and boating season. The “Hello, Neringa” festival will take place here, becoming the largest cultural, sports, and maritime traditions epicenter in Lithuania for one day. The event organizers promise that the Curonian Spit will be flooded not only with exceptional boats and the fastest cars but also with a special spirit of community and entertainment for the whole family.
The festival producer Edmundas Jakilaitis emphasizes that this year’s event stands out for its extraordinary scale and ability to unite a wide variety of initiatives under one flag.
“This year’s ‘Hello, Neringa’ festival is unique in that it has become a magnet, bringing together a multitude of wonderful ideas and communities. In one place, we will see not only exceptional boats but also legendary journalist rally cars, a stylish ‘Nida Bees’ scooter parade, and numerous sports tournaments. Nida will simply buzz with entertainment, spectacles, and meetings this Saturday. And everything will culminate in a truly wonderful evening concert on the lagoon, which spectators can enjoy comfortably from the shore or directly from their boat decks. We are creating a tradition whose atmosphere rivals the best foreign resorts,” says E. Jakilaitis.
Eyes will turn both to the water and the shore: boat exhibition and rally legends
During the festive weekend in Nida, there will be plenty to feast the eyes on for both water and speed enthusiasts. From noon, the “Nida Boat Show 2026” exhibition will be open at the Nida port, where visitors can closely examine the most modern boat models and advanced maritime equipment. At the same time, the community of boaters and captains will gather in the meadow near the port – here the “Captains’ Market” will buzz, where people can exchange, sell, or donate items they no longer need on their boats but take up space.
The shore will also be shaken by the sounds of powerful engines – the legendary journalists’ rally is coming to Nida. “Press Rally” participants will display their racing cars right at the Nida marina, and in the afternoon, an impressive car parade will decorate the resort streets. It will be a perfect opportunity to see luxury yachts, the latest sports cars, and time-tested classic cars all in one place.
From ecology to stylish “Vespa” scooters
The festive morning will begin with a meaningful note – volunteers, residents of Neringa, and guests are invited to participate in the unique Lithuanian corner preservation campaign “Cleaning the Curonian Lagoon.” Active leisure enthusiasts will be encouraged to move by the Nida Sports School, organizing numerous sports events, tournaments, and competitions for the whole family.
Another distinctive festival highlight is the season opening of the “Nida Bees” scooter club. It is planned that about 50 stylish “Vespa” scooters will ride through the streets of Nida, and the awards for their owners will be a bright highlight of the afternoon.

The mayor of Neringa municipality, Darius Jasaitis, emphasizes that this festival is much more than just an entertainment event.
“Let us be a maritime nation not only on the map but also in our community. This is more than a boat gathering – it is a continuation of historical traditions, reminding us of times when waterways were the main connection between dune dwellers and lowlanders. Let this boat gathering become living proof of how many captains Lithuania has and how much life there is today in our waterways. The celebration is for everyone whose hearts beat to the rhythm of the lagoon – both those who will sail to Nida by water and those who will welcome them on the shore. Let’s meet to celebrate our maritime culture, community, and the beginning of summer,” invites the mayor of Neringa municipality, Darius Jasaitis.
The climax – the grand boat gathering and concert on the 360° stage
In the evening, the action will move to the Curonian Lagoon fairway right in front of the Nida marina. Here, an impressive spectacle will take place – the “Švyturys” Curonian Lagoon boat gathering, bringing together over a hundred boat crews.
Immediately after, a free concert by Monika Linkytė and the band “Solo Ansamblis” will begin. The performers will appear on a unique 360° stage set up directly on the water in the Curonian Lagoon. The celebration will continue until nightfall with the “Neringa FM” DJ team.
The organizers remind that all festival events (except for some sports competitions) are completely free.
