The Coast Guard Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center was informed on Sunday about a diver missing approximately ten nautical miles northeast of Ruoja.
On Monday, the Coast Guard reported that, based on received information, a group of four divers was diving near the shipwreck. Three divers successfully surfaced, while the fourth disappeared and has not been found so far.

The search and rescue operation, which started immediately, involves the naval patrol vessel “P-07,” one search and rescue vessel, the State Border Guard Service vessel “RK-29,” an aircraft of the National Armed Forces Air Force, and an Estonian search and rescue helicopter. Additional naval and State Border Guard Service resources have also been deployed for the operation.
