As BNS wrote, the first Customs head competition in March was terminated after receiving a complaint about violated procedures. Ž. Rudaitienė was not appointed because the commission formation procedures were violated.

Former Customs director Darius Žvironas was dismissed at his own request at the end of August last year – he resigned after being detained drunk in July last year.

Currently, the department is temporarily headed by deputy director Vygantas Paigozinas.
