The Gaza Strip Civil Defense Rescue Service, operating under Hamas’ authority, reported on Sunday that eight people were killed in strikes around midnight that hit various residential buildings, and another five died later the same day.

According to a civil defense representative, a man and his wife were killed in one attack near the central part of the Gaza Strip, and several others were injured when an Israeli military helicopter struck an apartment.

In another attack on an apartment west of Gaza City, an elderly man and a child were killed, and three more people, including a child, died in a strike on another residential building northwest of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

“One person was killed and four others were injured in an Israeli drone strike targeting a group of civilians near the displaced persons camp in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip,” he said.

The press representative said that a couple and their child were killed in a strike on an apartment west of Gaza City at dawn, adding that the woman was pregnant.

Two more people were killed in an Israeli drone strike on their car in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, he said, and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported that they were brothers.

Officials reported on Saturday that eight people were killed in strikes that damaged hospital medical supplies and targeted the roof. The Israeli army said that two of these strikes were aimed at members of the militant groups “Islamic Army” and “Islamic Jihad.”
