According to the company, the most difficult situation remains in the Utena district, where the largest forces are currently concentrated, as well as in Zarasai, Anykščiai, Visaginas, and the Radviliškis municipality. Of the objects without electricity, 450 are uninhabited.

It is indicated that work on Saturday was slowed down by rain and gusty winds. New disruptions were recorded in the Kaunas, Molėtai, Šiauliai, Klaipėda, and Prienai municipalities, but the on-duty brigades working there restored electricity supply to customers in less than two hours.
Due to direct losses caused by the power outage, ESO will begin paying compensation to customers on Monday. Residents whose electricity supply was restored within 3–6 days will be compensated up to 220 euros, 7–13 days – up to 440 euros, more than 14 days – up to 660 euros.
Compensation for spoiled food will be up to 60 euros, for accommodation – up to 60 euros per day, for generator rental – up to 40 euros per day, for its purchase – up to 220 euros, and for its fuel – up to 90 euros per day.

The company has already received more than 4 thousand requests from residents, asking to compensate about 700 thousand euros in losses.
“We communicate with customers individually: we call them and inquire about the situation. If necessary, we deliver generators, of which more than 400 are currently connected. We also deliver fuel, and our specialists connect the generator and explain how to use this device safely,” says ESO public relations representative Rasa Juodkienė.
Last week, the Government declared a state-level emergency due to the storm. One person died during this storm, and four others were injured.
