Before the team’s trip to the capital of the United Kingdom, Žalgiris player Sterling Brown shared his thoughts about the upcoming challenge.

“Everything is going well. Of course, the new players have to learn certain things, but the veterans are really helping us and we continue to move forward successfully,” said the American. “We have to show energy on both sides of the court. This will be a very important part of our game. We have many well-playing guys on the roster who can start the game in the starting five and carry a heavy load. Those energy bursts on the court will be very important for us.”

After the first three preseason games, in which all victories were won, S. Brown spoke about the offensive potential of the Kaunas team and creating open opportunities by moving the ball.

“We have a lot of potential. We have many selfless guys. Many tall players who play as a team. It will depend on us how we use those open opportunities to attack from distance. As long as we maintain rhythm and speed while playing, we will always have chances to freely pass the ball – from both closer and farther distances. We have many weapons we can use,” explained the basketball player.

Thursday’s game against the Paris team will be the toughest test for Žalgiris so far in the preseason duel marathon. S. Brown explained that it will be a good test of strength.

“It will definitely be a good test. Paris is a fast-running team that plays intense basketball. We also want to play that kind of basketball. It will be interesting to compare ourselves with them. They are a team that has as much energy as we do. They have many individually strong players who can score. It will be a good test on defense as well. It doesn’t even matter who we play against in the other games, we just have to build the foundations of our game,” said the player.

The game in London will be a great opportunity for S. Brown to get to know the Žalgiris fans, who, as always, are numerous in London.

“I don’t know much about London. I may have been there twice, just as a temporary stop. I haven’t even spent a day there. I know the atmosphere created by Žalgiris fans from playing in Kaunas. If you say that there will be equally passionate fans in London, I hope they will give us even more energy,” smiled the Žalgiris player.
