The 31-year-old American was one of the top scorers in the solidly composed PAOK Thessaloniki team, which in the semifinals of the Pavlos Giannakopoulos tournament held in Athens 100:99 (26:30, 26:24, 27:20, 21:25) defeated Belgrade’s Partizan.

M. Foster scored 25 points in 25 minutes (1/3 two-pointers, 7/10 three-pointers, 2/2 free throws), grabbed 6 rebounds, and collected 31 efficiency points.
The American secured the victory by hitting a three-pointer from the corner after a pass from Nick Calathes as the buzzer sounded to end the game.
We remind that M. Foster played for the Vilnius team in the 2022-2023 season, and later returned to it in the middle of the 2023-2024 season, leading Rytas to the LKL championship title and receiving the MVP award of the LKL finals series.
In the PAOK team, coached this season by former Kaunas Žalgiris coach Andrea Trinchieri, only Cedi Osman scored more than M. Foster in the match against Partizan – the Turk scored 27 points and had 37 efficiency points.

The Thessaloniki team will compete in the EuroCup this season and will arrive in Panevėžys on October 13 to play against Lietkabelis.
A face well known to Lithuanians also played most effectively in the Partizan team – former Žalgiris player Kevarrius Hayes scored 18 points.
In the P. Giannakopoulos tournament, Athens’ Panathinaikos and JL Bourg teams will also play.
