“We will remember his extraordinary creativity, warmth, curiosity, and how he saw beauty and possibilities everywhere,” said his son Adam Max in a statement sent to ABC News.
“His art became a part of American culture, but most of all we will miss the man behind that art – the father we knew and loved,” said the son.
