Over the weekend in Estonia, the final stage of the Mitjet Baltics racing series took place at the Pärnu Porsche Ring track. The idea to organize such a championship came to the organizer in December 2025. So, in a short time, a circle of participants was formed and the growing fleet of Mitjet cars is a great achievement. And which participants can be happy with the results both at the Pärnu track and with the awards of the finished championship?
Two new participants
In Estonia, two serious competitors joined the Mitjet Baltics pilots. These are Jesper Brunhøj Jensen, founder and owner of the JBJ Racing team from Denmark, and the young Lithuanian rally talent Aras Kvedaras. His father Rokas Kvedaras has been racing in Mitjet Baltics since the very first races.
Interestingly, these “rookies” significantly increased the intrigue of both sprint races.
In the first race on Saturday morning, the qualifying winner Aras Kvedaras, who started first, unexpectedly spun at the first corner – he made a mistake shifting gears. Then the leading quartet separated from the group of racers – P. Jankavičius, V. Reškevičius, P. Degtiarenka, J. Jensen. And although A. Kvedaras lost five opponents due to this mistake, taking advantage of their micro-duels, he soon broke through to first place and won Race 1.
The spectators’ eyes were especially delighted by the impressive duel between V. Reškevičius and P. Jankavičius, which somewhat slowed the lineup and helped A. Kvedaras regain positions – when two fight, the third wins.
The participants finished in the following order: 1. A. Kvedaras. 2. V. Reškevičius. 3. P. Degtiarenka. 4. J. B. Jensen. 5. R. Kvedaras. 6. E. Gutaravičius. 7. P. Jankavičius (DNF).
In the second race, the top four fastest Race 1 participants start in reverse order to make the fight for positions more interesting. And if it seemed that Aras Kvedaras could win again in the second race because he would have to overtake fewer competitors, the race unfolded differently.
Jesper Brunhøj Jensen, who started first in Race 2, played an important role – a very experienced pilot. He defended skillfully and kept the young leaders behind him for a long time. V. Reškevičius overtook him only after several minutes of fierce battle. However, it was harder for other opponents. Therefore, when A. Kvedaras managed to overtake the Dane, Vilius Reškevičius was safely ahead and secured the victory.
The Dane’s effective defensive tactics provided great pleasure to the spectators’ eyes: the constant fight for positions and the cars lined up in a long snake looked very impressive. Especially since A. Kvedaras, P. Jankavičius, and P. Degtiarenka had chances to attack but at the same time had to defend their positions.

The participants finished in the following order: 1. V. Reškevičius. 2. A. Kvedaras. 3. J. B. Jensen. 4. P. Degtiarenka. 5. P. Jankavičius. 6. R. Kvedaras. 7. E. Gutaravičius.
In the first Mitjet Baltics season, Povilas Jankavičius became the champion, and Rokas Kvedaras won in the Semi-PRO category. The team classification winners were Baltic Karting Academy.

Although the season has ended, those who want to race MITJET 2L can still do so in tests. For those planning to participate in the Mitjet Baltics championship next year and wanting to try the car, tests will be organized on September 20 this year at Kačerginė’s Nemuno Žiedas, near Kaunas.
