On Monday, there was indeed a lot of precipitation in some parts of Lithuania. The most rain fell in Telšiai (46.5 mm) and Akmenė (39 mm).
“This corresponds to 55 and 45 percent of the monthly norm. About two weeks’ worth of rain in just one day. Also very much,” meteorologist Gytis Valaika wrote on Monday evening in the Facebook group “Weather and Climate in Lithuania,” sharing a video from Latvia where a heavy downpour washed away a road.
Meteorologist Elvyra Latvėnaitė reports that the cyclone Cerry is threatening with rain these days: “On Tuesday, Cerry IV will settle over Lithuania, watering again with rain, thunder will rumble, mostly during the day. Winds will blow from various directions, weak at night, but somewhat fresher westerly winds during the day, only in the western regions and especially on the coast will the northwesterly wind be stronger.”



On Wednesday, according to the meteorologist, the cyclone will move further away from us, but rain clouds will still touch and water us, though a bit less. A somewhat stronger westerly wind will blow.
“On Thursday, another small cyclone will travel near us, watering again with thunder. It will still be cool—especially at night, and during the day the air temperature will only exceed 20 degrees in some places.
From Friday, according to current data, there will be less rain, a weak, variable-direction wind will blow. Although it will still be cool at night, fog will spread in some places, it will be warmer during the day, and from Sunday it should warm up even more,” the meteorologist has good news.
On Tuesday, a yellow warning remains in effect in four counties – Panevėžys, Kaunas, Marijampolė, and Šiauliai – due to possible thunderstorms in some places. Klaipėda County is warned about gusts of westerly winds, which in some places may reach 15-20 m/s. The wind here will remain strong on Wednesday as well.

According to meteorologist E. Latvėnaitė’s forecast, on the morning of Tuesday, July 21, it will rain in the southern and southwestern regions, during the day it will rain in many places with thunderstorms, heavier in some places. The wind at night will be from the south and southwest at 5-10 m/s, during the day variable in most of Lithuania, in the southern and southwestern regions from the west at 6-11 m/s, in the western regions from the north and northwest at 7-12 m/s, gusts up to 15 m/s, during the day on the coast gusts 15-18 m/s. Night temperatures 9-12°C, on the coast 14-16°C, daytime 16-21°C.

On Wednesday, July 22, it will rain intermittently, mostly at night. Westerly winds 7-12 m/s. Night temperatures 10-13°C, coolest in the western and northwestern regions, but on the coast 14-16°C, daytime 16-20°C.
On Thursday, July 23, it will rain intermittently at night in the western and southwestern regions, in the morning and during the day it will rain in many places, heavier in some places, with thunder rumbling at midday. Wind variable 3-7 m/s, on the coast during the day northwesterly 6-11 m/s. Night temperatures 10-13°C, on the coast 14-16°C, daytime 15-20°C.
On Friday, July 24, no rain at night, fog will spread in many places, during the day intermittent rain with thunderstorms in some places. Wind variable 4-8 m/s. Night temperatures 8-12°C, daytime 19-22°C.
On Saturday, July 25, no rain at night, fog will spread in some places, during the day some rain in places, mostly in the eastern part of Lithuania. Wind variable at night 2-6 m/s, during the day 4-8 m/s. Night temperatures 9-13°C, on the coast 14-16°C, daytime 20-24°C, coolest in the western northwestern edge.
On Sunday, July 26, no rain at night, fog will spread in some places, during the day some rain in places. Wind variable at night 2-6 m/s, during the day from the south and southeast 5-10 m/s. Night temperatures 10-13°C, coolest in the western and northern regions, daytime 22-25°C.
On Monday, July 27, no significant rain. Wind from the southeast 5-10 m/s. Night temperatures 14-16°C, daytime 23-27°C.
