Who can receive early retirement?
“Sodra” reminds that early retirement can be granted if a person has no more than 5 years left until the old-age pension age.

In other words, early retirement in Lithuania is currently possible at the age of 60, as the normal retirement age in Lithuania for men and women is 65 years.
However, that alone is not enough. The person must also have accumulated the required length of service. In 2026, the required length of service is 34.5 years.

Also, a person who does not work anywhere and does not engage in self-employment, and does not receive other periodic benefits and income either in Lithuania or abroad, can receive “Sodra” early retirement. Moreover, farmers or their partners cannot receive early retirement.
