“The VRK made a decision recognizing that the political party ‘Nemuno aušra’ and the party chairman R. Žemaitaitis grossly violated the Election Code and the Law on Political Organizations by financing the political party’s activities, that is – receiving membership fees through third parties, from illegal funding sources. R. Žemaitaitis received two donations during the presidential election campaign, which were also transferred illegally,” VRK chair Lina Petronienė told journalists after the meeting.
