Last weekend, the president of Chile’s club “Colo-Colo,” Anibal Mosa, confirmed that an agreement was reached with Vozinha regarding the contract.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper is expected in Chile this week and should undergo a medical examination, while the “Colo-Colo” club, which has become the national champion 34 times, has already welcomed the newcomer on its social media.
Chilean media reports that an agreement was reached with Vozinha for a six-month contract with the possibility to extend the contract for another year.
Having become a free agent in the player market since June, the goalkeeper is expected to earn significantly more than at his previous workplace – the Portuguese second division team “Chaves”.
According to “El Deportivo,” under the new contract Vozinha should earn 500 thousand dollars over the planned one and a half year period.
Thus, the football veteran should receive 27 thousand dollars per month, which is almost three times more than he earned per month in Portugal, where he received about 10 thousand dollars.

Previously representing clubs from Angola, Cyprus, Moldova, Slovakia, Vozinha reached football stardom through the World Cup.
There the goalkeeper shone with successful play in the group stage, where he kept the goal “dry” in the first match against Spain, which later won the gold medals.
Vozinha helped the Green Cape become the smallest football team (by country population) to reach the knockout stage of the World Cup. In the round of 16, the African regional team challenged Argentina, which needed extra time to defeat the underdog opponents 3:2.
Fans voted the goalkeeper into the best eleven players of the championship, and on social networks the 40-year-old’s popularity soared to unprecedented heights.
At the beginning of summer, having about 50 thousand followers, Vozinha now counts nearly 30 million fans on Instagram.
