“Today we received information from the US side about meetings in Moscow that took place in recent days. Several meetings took place there. And we talked the day before, we are talking now with the US side. Thank you for the information and for the necessary tone of talks with Russia,” said the Ukrainian leader during his evening address.

The president added that Ukraine values the coordination of actions and that America promotes a completely realistic vision of what needs to be done and what must be done.
Earlier this week, the Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), John Ratcliffe, unexpectedly visited Moscow.
The head of Russia’s foreign intelligence service, Sergey Naryshkin, confirmed meeting with J. Ratcliffe during his visit. Russian President V. Putin did not meet with the CIA chief, although the Kremlin stated that the country’s leader was informed about the negotiations.
The US publication “The Wall Street Journal” wrote that the CIA director came to Moscow because the United States gathered intelligence data about early Russian preparations for a possible military mobilization.
Meanwhile, the publication “Politico” wrote that J. Ratcliffe, while visiting Moscow, warned Russian officials not to escalate the conflict with the US allies in NATO, including Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
