In a closed-door match in Druskininkai, Nedas Pacevičius’ trainees 103:84 (27:21, 17:25, 38:21, 21:17) defeated Panevėžys “Lietkabelis”.
It was the second friendly match for the latter. On September 1, the Panevėžys team coached by Nenad Čanak defeated London “Lions” 89:83.
In the evenly matched meeting between “Rytas” and “Lietkabelis”, the Aukštaitija club even led after the first half.
But then the turning point of the game happened – the Vilnius team won the third quarter 38:21.
After this knockout, the Panevėžys team did not recover, and “Rytas” eventually scored more than a hundred points.
The biggest lead of the capital club was 23 points (101:78).
Top scorer for the winners Kay Bruhnke scored 22 points (1/1 2-pointers, 5/11 3-pointers, 5/6 free throws) in 22 minutes.
Artūras Gudaitis added 16 points and 6 rebounds as well as 8 fouls drawn in 17 minutes.
Rookie Cassius Winston scored 14 points (4/7 2-pointers, 2/3 3-pointers) and distributed 9 assists.

Gytis Masiulis and another “Rytas” rookie Michael Devoe (5 rebounds, 5 assists) each added 11 points.
For “Lietkabelis”, Alexander Schumacher and Keondre Kennedy scored 14 points each, Miloš Iličius and Ivan Fevrier scored 10 each.
