Awards will be given in four categories reflecting different ways in which Vilnius residents of foreign origin or their representing organizations contribute to city life.
In the “For Business Creating Vilnius” category, people or companies developing businesses in Vilnius, creating jobs, investing, implementing innovations, and contributing to the city’s economic life will be evaluated.
The “For Cultural Vilnius” award will go to those engaged in significant activities in the fields of art and culture and to the nurturers of the multicultural city identity.
The “For Tasty Vilnius” category will recognize talents in the field of gastronomy – creators of cafes, restaurants, bars, or other gastronomic initiatives operating in the capital, contributing to the city’s gastronomic culture.
Meanwhile, the “Vilnius Ambassador” category is intended for a person who actively promotes the name of Vilnius in Lithuania and abroad, presenting the city in their country of origin or international communities.

“We hope these awards will become a sign of the city’s gratitude to those who have chosen Vilnius and help it grow through their activities. It is also an invitation for all of us to see how many different people, ideas, and stories make up our city today,” said Indrė Laučienė, head of the Foreign Talent Department at “Go Vilnius” and “International House Vilnius.”
Anyone in the country can nominate candidates for the awards from August 11 to 20.
From these, a judging panel will select three nominees in each category, and the laureates will be chosen by public voting at the end of August and the beginning of September.
The winners will be announced and awarded on September 5 during the “Vilnius Is My City” event.
