“At 19:00, American enemy missiles struck a location on Qeshm Island,” stated the Hormozgan governor’s office, as quoted by IRIB in its report.
The news agency “Fars” earlier reported explosions heard on the island.
“At about 18:45, several explosions were heard on Qeshm Island,” said “Fars.” “In recent days, the American enemy has attacked the Qeshm Masan district several times.”
Reports of explosions came after the US launched a new wave of strikes against Iran, and Donald Trump promised to reimpose a naval blockade on Iran. This prompted Tehran to take retaliatory actions and strike targets in neighboring countries.
The US military earlier reported striking targets across Iranian territory, including the port cities of Bushehr and Bandar Abbas, aiming to “reduce Iran’s ability to attack commercial ships.”

According to the United Arab Emirates, Iran struck two ships in the Strait of Hormuz, and one crew member of a ship was killed in these strikes.
Meanwhile, the crisis management company “MTI Network” reported that an explosion caused by an unidentified device occurred early Tuesday on a Norwegian tanker off the coast of Oman.
