Even before the start of one of Europe’s most prestigious off-road races – “Baja Aragón” – the organizers made a difficult decision to cancel the 2026 competition. The main reason for this is extreme weather conditions and the increased threat to the safety of participants, teams, and local residents.

According to the organizers, the Teruel region of Spain has experienced a prolonged drought in recent weeks, with air temperatures reaching extremely high values. Such conditions significantly increased the risk of fires in forests and open areas, so it was decided not to take risks and not to hold the race.
“Baja Aragón” annually attracts the strongest rally raid athletes and factory teams in the world, and this year’s list of participants was one of the strongest in the event’s history.

Even before the start of the race, Rokas tested a new “Toyota Hilux” car, performing about 60 kilometers of test drives, during which he tried various car settings.
“It’s great to be back behind the wheel of a T1+ car, but it’s a shame it all ended so quickly. Nevertheless, I respect the organizers’ decision, because safety is paramount.” – said Rokas.
