During the conversation, M. Kalnietis received an intriguing question about which current Žalgiris player could follow in Mantas’s footsteps in the future and join the “Kauno Žalgiris” football organization.
One of the most realistic names is Edgaras Ulanovas. The Žalgiris player regularly visits the stadium both during local championship matches and when playing for the Lithuanian national team.

Moreover, the forward closely follows football news, plays a football manager computer game in his free time, and has hinted that he would be interested in some football-related activity in the future.
“I haven’t heard such a request from Edgaras yet, but after three years of work experience, I can confidently say that there are many basketball people who have played or coached in the past and could contribute to our country’s football. There are many common things between the two sports – what works in basketball also works in football. I have no doubt that people who have played in the EuroLeague and other top-level tournaments can bring a lot of experience,” said M. Kalnietis.
