A. Melnykas addressed Russian citizens in Russian, warning that Kremlin master Vladimir Putin is likely preparing a new wave of mobilization.
According to him, after the regular State Duma elections on September 20, V. Putin will begin a massive forced mobilization. The envoy added that Russia will send up to 500,000 people to the war against Ukraine “with no possibility of return.”

A. Melnykas urged Russians to leave Russia as soon as possible, ironically noting that there might be fuel problems, referring to Ukraine’s strikes on oil refineries.
On Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also noted that V. Putin is likely to carry out mobilization mostly in the regions. According to him, Russia’s plan for 2026 is to additionally mobilize about 300,000 people.
