According to the war commander, Ukrainian soldiers “cleared” the settlements of Novoselivka, Oleksandrivka, and Yarova, as well as the outskirts of Korovyi Yar. Ukrainian forces also liberated the settlement of Seredne and established control there. Information about the latter’s liberation was previously announced on Tuesday by the Ukrainian monitoring project “DeepState”.
A. Bileckis stated that during the counterattack a heavy blow was dealt to the combat capabilities of the Russian 20th and 25th combined armies.
Destroyed 12 thousand drones
During the operation, Russian forces lost about 1,500 soldiers, more than 12,000 drones, and hundreds of armored vehicles, artillery systems, and other vehicles, the commander detailed.
The Ukrainian army named this counterattack operation “Vivaldi,” based on the Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi’s work “The Four Seasons”.

“Currently, open sources are full of information that the ultimate goal of the operation is to reach the banks of the Black Zherebets River. However, our operation is called ‘Vivaldi,’ and as we know, Vivaldi has four seasons. This is only the first of them. […] There will be good news, but for now, our actions require silence,” A. Bileckis indicated.
This operation was first announced on Tuesday after recent weeks of progress by the Ukrainian armed forces in several front sectors.
Earlier, experts from the Institute for War Research assessed that Ukrainian forces recaptured most of the territories that Russia had occupied since March 2026, while successfully conducting counteroffensive operations in several sectors.
According to analysts, since the end of 2025 and throughout 2026, Ukrainian forces increasingly challenged Russia’s initiative on the battlefield, marking the first long-term shift of this kind since the Kursk offensive carried out by Ukraine in August 2024.
