The TV game “Music Detectives”, which achieved great success last season, returns to screens this autumn. However, the biggest surprise is that Ugnė Siparė, a well-known presenter of shows and events, joins the show’s host Gintas Vaičikauskas.
“When I received this offer, I was very happy. You know, usually, when someone calls with a job offer, you start negotiating all sorts of conditions, but this was one of those cases where I didn’t ask anything, didn’t negotiate any conditions, and immediately said – okay, I agree!” she says about the decision made in an instant.
In the previous season of “Music Detectives”, Ugnė already had the chance to test her skills as a game participant. Therefore, she is now happy about a new opportunity – to try herself in the role of a presenter: “I really enjoyed participating. I remember perfectly how I fell to the ground and cried, and worried, and not at all because of the main prize. This game just hooks you so much that you get caught up in the excitement and want to get one more task and another one.”
Ugnė says that she and the show’s host Gintas are good acquaintances, and their paths crossed exactly a year ago at an event.
“Then we hosted an event together and, I think, we were a very fun duo. It was very enjoyable and easy for me to work with him. When we met now during the promo shoot, we met like best friends or old acquaintances. You know, Gintas is such a person with whom it is very easy to communicate. You greet him once and, that’s it, you feel like you’ve known each other for 15 years. So, that’s the chemistry between us,” Ugnė says, adding that fate brought them together a year ago for a reason.

Ugnė Siparė, who has many years of experience in television, is convinced that for a project to be successful, only one simple ingredient is needed: “You know, we often watch various shows, and some are similar to each other. But for some reason, viewers love one, and not others. In fact, even through the TV screen, you can feel whether the team itself was interested in creating the project. So, I think one thing is enough – that both the players, the hosts, and the entire creative team are interested in what they are doing. Then the viewer will also be interested and will get involved in the game. Therefore, I want to wish that all people who get involved with “Music Detectives” do not lose that interest for a second.”
Despite her great enthusiasm, Ugnė says she feels a healthy excitement before the first filming begins and reveals what she is most worried about.
“I am a people person and I always get very involved in games, and I want people to win. Therefore, the hardest thing for me will be to control myself so that I don’t give away the correct answer. Well, I’ll have to concentrate and rein myself in,” she smiles.
