On the evening of September 1, 2026, officers of the Lithuanian Prison Service (LKT) at Marijampolė Prison discovered a package thrown over the prison territory, which contained three mobile phones.

According to preliminary data, an unidentified person, crossing Stoties Street near the prison security post, ran up to the prison fence and threw the package into the institution’s territory. The person fled the scene.
