“Being here, I am very happy; it was a big dream. I have visited the “Žalgiris” organization several times for educational purposes, so becoming part of this basketball culture is a huge honor,” said the strategist.

J. Andersen also shared the story of joining “Žalgiris.”

“The plan this summer was to go to Romania with my previous head coach, but the staff there was already complete, so I had to look for new opportunities. I am very lucky to be able to do what I like here – analysis, scouting opponents, and preparing for games,” added J. Andersen.

“I was not a very talented basketball player. When I was 13 years old, the coach said that if I wanted to make a living from basketball, I had to start thinking about coaching. I agreed and respected him a lot, and since then I felt that I liked it – it all started with youth teams, and finally, during the COVID-19 period, I got my chance in the strongest Danish league,” shared the coach.

Finally, J. Andersen spoke about his time with the Norrköping “Dolphins” team when he tasted the life of a head coach.

The strategist has also already met the “Žalgiris” coaching staff.

“I have already had a brief meeting. Even before coming here, I felt that I was going to a very passionate environment, considering the level of “Žalgiris.” They will be great colleagues, I can feel it already, so I am looking forward to starting work,” replied J. Andersen.
