The basketball player had to finish his career stage in the strongest league in the world in Dallas, where one of the training sessions before the playoffs left the strongest impression on him.
At that time, M. Wright, who had a two-way contract, faced off on the court eye to eye with the team’s superstar Luka Dončić.
“The game stopped for a moment, and he told me: ‘I will grind you to dust every time after this screen if you are in front of me.’ I just thought: ‘Aha, sure, nothing will happen.’ But, to be honest, defending against Luka is incredibly difficult. I fully understand why everyone has so many problems with him,” the American recalled the extraordinary experience with a smile.
Interestingly, growing up M. Wright tried many activities – played in an orchestra, swam, but his greatest passion outside the court became tennis.
“I just adore tennis. Mom always said that tennis really helped my coordination. Growing up, I was quite a clumsy kid, so tennis helped me manage my body. In the summer, we had a great time on the court with younger guys,” the player spoke about the hobby that helped his basketball skills.
