“It’s a team that plays like many Scandinavian teams. Lots of long balls to the forward, they are excellent in set pieces. If we want a good result, we have to keep the ball on the ground and play our football. You can’t play ‘boom-boom’ football against such an opponent, it wouldn’t be easy for us,” Sopičius said about the opponents.
In the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, Klaksvik managed to eliminate Luxembourg champion Bissen’s Atert team.
“The Luxembourg team controlled the ball better, but Klaksvik was much better in duels and fighting for second balls. Still, when their opponents kept the ball on the ground, they had problems. We have to show character and prove that we came to win,” the head coach concluded.
