A young person investing in land, machinery, and technologies must know that the rules of operation will not be changed before completing the implementation of the started investments. What the state encourages today should not become the subject of new restrictions after a few years. Changes must be justified, known in advance, and planned with realistic transition periods,“ says the new head of the union.

Among the most important directions of the new leadership’s activities are improving the conditions for young farmers to settle and invest, reducing administrative burdens, smoother generational change, the introduction of modern technologies, and strengthening the competitiveness of Lithuanian farms.
The union will also seek to more actively involve young farmers themselves in decision-making.

In the near future, the new leadership will initiate meetings with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Agriculture. During these meetings, they will aim to present the most important challenges facing young farmers and discuss specific possible solutions.
