It is announced that the meeting discussed the implementation of the Government program provisions, which commit to ensuring the professionalism and independence of courts and strengthening the corps of judicial assistants.
“Discussion was held on the most relevant issues for the court system – insufficient funding, shortage of human resources, the condition of court infrastructure, and other systemic challenges,” the statement says.
The meeting also focused on another currently relevant issue – the operation of the “Liteko II” system.
D. Bublienė emphasized that additional investments are needed to ensure reliable system operation and its further development.

According to the statement, the Prime Minister and the Chairwoman of LAT also discussed the critical condition of some court buildings. The statement says that some buildings are in very poor condition, in some cases even posing a threat to the safety of the people working and visiting there.
According to D. Bublienė, this problem must be addressed by ensuring consistent renovation of court buildings and infrastructure.
“The meeting was productive and constructive. I heard the Government’s position and a promise to seek solutions both regarding court employees’ salaries and additional funding for the most necessary needs of the court system. I hope this dialogue will continue in the future, and the issues discussed at the meeting will turn into concrete solutions. Strengthening the court system is a common interest of all of us – the quality of justice administration and people’s trust in the state depend on it,” D. Bublienė is quoted in the statement.
