“This time we looked for an opponent not only by ranking but also by his style. We definitely wanted a fighter who would want to ‘brawl’. In the fight with Jabulani, we saw that he was more of a punch-absorbing, counterattacking fighter. Now we were looking for a brawler who would want contact himself. It seems we found one – we will see how he looks in the ring. We really expect a great fight.
The search for an opponent went well, steadily. There are definitely many boxers in Europe who want opportunities and want to fight mid-level boxers, but finding higher-level opponents is difficult, and most of those at a higher level already have contracts in the USA,” commented UTMA head V. This fight at the “Žalgiris” arena in Kaunas will take place on September 26. It will be the tournament’s “co-main” fight, and the main event of the evening under kickboxing rules will be between Sergejus Maslobojevas and Dominykas Dirkstys.
“I am very happy and grateful to the UTMA organization for the opportunity to fight again in Lithuania. I really want to show my new version, I worked hard, trained a lot. Finally, I will fight, I have a new fire that was somewhat faded, gone, but now it is lit, I want to be in the ring as soon as possible,” E. Stanionis said about his return to the ring in Kaunas at a special UTMA press conference.
K. Fourie has won 13 victories in his professional career, 11 of them by knockout, lost twice, and had two draws.
K. Fourie stepped into the ring for the first time in his professional career in December 2020.
K. Fourie fought twice for lightweight championship belts – in 2024, the boxer became the IBF Africa lightweight champion. In 2025, K. Fourie fought for the IBO intercontinental lightweight championship belt, but he was unable to secure victory that time.
It was after this fight that K. Fourie moved up to a higher weight category and immediately started recording wins – in 2026, the South African boxer won twice, both times by knockout.

We remind that for the first time in his professional boxing career, 32-year-old E. Stanionis fought in Lithuania at the UTMA 13 tournament – at that time, the boxer defeated Jabulani Makhense by unanimous decision.
In his professional career, E. Stanionis has won 16 victories (9 by knockout) and suffered 1 defeat.
The greatest achievement of E. Stanionis’s professional career is the WBA super lightweight world champion title won in 2022.
“For Eimantas, this is a fight to get back into rhythm, it is important to emphasize the rankings – to remain in the world rankings, he must fight at least once a year. Since time has passed quickly, it is especially important for him to return to the ring now. We hope he stays close to fighting for the world champion title. I think this fight should bring him even closer,” said V. Gecas.
In the “BoxRec” rankings, E. Stanionis is ranked 19th in the world among all super lightweight fighters, and in the “The Ring” rankings of this weight category, he is even 4th.
K. Fourie has already risen to 133rd place in the “BoxRec” super lightweight rankings.
