The ministry proposes to form a thousand-generator reserve, to lay cables faster

“Storms are getting stronger and more frequent, so that reserve needs to be larger. Our proposal is to increase the number of generators not by hundreds, but by thousands, and distribute them decentrally through municipalities and elderships, and then supply them when there is the greatest need for people,” said the ministry chancellor Eglė Radišauskienė on Wednesday at the Seimas Committee on Energy and Sustainable Development.
