“During Lithuania’s presidency, the most active agenda awaits in the field of criminal law, but Lithuania will also pay great attention to the topic of historical memory, which will be an important priority of the EU Council presidency. We see consistent and strengthening Russian attempts to rewrite European history. We must respond to this with European measures,” R. Tamašunienė is quoted in the statement.
