The installed capacity of the solar power plant located in central Poland is 45 megawatts.
It is expected to produce 45 gigawatt-hours of green electricity per year. This amount will be enough to meet the annual electricity needs of about 22,000 average Polish households. In addition, it will help avoid about 28,000 tons of CO₂ emissions into the atmosphere annually.
“Poland is one of Enefit’s four domestic markets, and we have been actively developing our business here for many years. Sčalkovas is our largest solar power plant in Poland and one of the largest in the entire Enefit portfolio. This investment will strengthen our production portfolio and allow us to offer customers more green electricity,” said Enefit’s Chairman of the Board Gerrit Maesalu.
Enefit has been operating in the Polish market since 2016 and currently serves more than 4,500 business customers. With the commissioning of the Sčalkovas park, the company’s total renewable energy production capacity in Poland has increased to 78 megawatts.
