„With these changes, we aim to ensure that our legal system keeps pace with real challenges – both in the field of environmental protection, in combating serious crimes, and in protecting the most vulnerable individuals. This is a consistent step in strengthening the rule of law and public protection,“ said Minister of Justice Rita Tamašunienė.
On Wednesday, during the Cabinet meeting, projects prepared by the Ministry of Justice were approved, aiming to respond to changing crime trends in the areas of environmental protection and human trafficking, ensure national law compliance with European Union legislation and international standards, and strengthen legal regulation.
