One of the most painful incidents on the track – when during a downpour, with the race paused by the judges (CODE60 announced), a “Dream2Drive” team Porsche crashed into the rear of the “Energija by RD Signs” Lamborghini on the start-finish straight. Professional racer from Estonia Markus Kajak did not see either the judges’ signals or the Lamborghini slowing down to 60 km/h.

A painful crash occurred, eliminating the leaders in the “Energija by RD Signs” race. While the Porsche was repaired several times (initially the engine overheated), the Lamborghini restoration was much more complicated.

According to unofficial data, not only the half-shafts need to be replaced. So Paulius Paškevičius, who was driving the Lambo, informed the team leader that he could not continue the race. The arriving tow truck took the car away for a long rest.

As reported by Eugenijus Andrulis, representative of the “RD Signs” team, the Estonian apologized for the incident. The judges imposed a 5-minute penalty for such a mistake.

After the race ended, “RD Signs” announced that they are collecting funds for the Lambo restoration. And they publish the account:

VŠĮ RD SIGNS RACING, LT167300010203081878, for Lambo restoration.

“Although the result is painful for the whole team, we are grateful that the most important thing is the driver avoided serious injuries. Now a new stage awaits us – restoring the car and preparing to return to the track.

This is a long and resource-intensive process. We have received many messages and questions about how to contribute to the team,” the team wrote on Facebook.
