As stated by a dissatisfied reader who contacted the editorial office, the management of the Kaunas nursery-kindergarten “Vaikystės takas” decided to postpone the Science and Knowledge Festival because there will not be enough staff at the kindergarten, as they took days off to attend their own children’s celebrations at other educational institutions.

“In September 2025, the director expressed this wish regarding the celebration during a meeting. Later, a survey was created where anyone could vote how many times they wanted.
The Kaunas City Municipality Education Department specialist was informed about this situation several times. She said that such a practice regarding September 1st is not acceptable and that there would be talks with the kindergarten administration, but later the director informed the parents by email that the Science and Knowledge Festival will be celebrated on September 2nd,” – explained the problem by the mother of a child attending this institution.
