She made this decision on April 29 and submitted it for the Government’s consideration.
“I am very pleased that more and more applications are appearing, despite the fact that we still do not have incentives for individuals in Lithuania. However, there are individuals who do this even without additional tax incentives. This year’s list is truly impressive,” said Laura Blaževičiūtė, Chairwoman of the Patronage Council, to BNS.

She noted that more and more donors are supporting the arts.
“We are grateful to those people who think about it, allocate funds, and do not expect any return,” said L. Blaževičiūtė.
It is proposed to recognize the bank “Swedbank” as a national patron for its support to the Vilnius University Foundation. The bank has provided 10 million euros in support to this foundation.
The same status is urged to be granted to the company “Narbutas Group” for donations to the public institution “Blue and Yellow,” which organizes support for war-torn Ukraine. It was allocated 1.35 million euros in support.
The company “Arimex” is intended to be declared a national patron for donating slightly more than 1 million euros to the Adomas Galdikas Museum and Art School.
At the same time, the Adomas Galdikas Museum and Art School would be recognized as a patronage project.
In total, 25 applications were received this year for the title of patron. The Council also selected candidates for municipal and community patrons.
Five candidates for municipal patrons were proposed to the Vilnius City Municipality Council, two to the Šiauliai District Council.
Three candidates for the community patron title are evaluated by the Ministry of Culture, ten by the Ministry of National Defence, and two by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports.

According to the law, the title of national patron is granted to a person who has supported a project in the fields of healthcare, culture and arts, heritage, science, public welfare, sports, or education with no less than one million euros.
A municipal patron is recognized as a person who has allocated no less than 250 thousand euros in support to implement a patronage project when the municipality has more than 25 thousand permanent residents or its territory includes a residential area with resort status.
If the municipality is smaller, the patron title is granted to a person who has allocated no less than 150 thousand euros in support.
The community patron title is granted to a person whose total support allocated within one year is no less than 50 thousand euros.
The decision on the national patron is made by the Government, on the municipal patron by the specific municipality council, and on the community patron by the minister of the administrative area where the patronage project is implemented.
The title of national patron has so far been granted to nine individuals and companies, municipal to 15, and community to 15.
All patron names are entered into the Book of Patrons. It is maintained and kept at the Palace of the Grand Dukes in Vilnius.
