This is reported by the Ukrainian portal “The Kyiv Independent”.
The survey was conducted at a time when peace talks between Ukraine, Russia, and intermediaries, including the United States, were still stalled. At the same time, Russian forces continued attacks across Ukraine, where, among other things, a shortage of air defense missiles led to an increase in civilian casualties.

According to the survey data, 33% of respondents stated they would be willing to give up territories in Eastern Ukraine, including the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, although most respondents viewed such a decision as a difficult concession. Another 7% of respondents had no opinion on this issue.
When asked about a scenario in which the war would be frozen along the current front lines in exchange for security guarantees – significant funding and arms supplies – 59% of respondents said they would be willing to agree to such a compromise, although most would do so reluctantly. Meanwhile, 31% categorically opposed this idea.
The survey also showed that most Ukrainians do not believe that Russia’s war against Ukraine will end in the near future.
Almost half, or 45% of respondents, said they believe the war could end no earlier than the second half of 2027, while 21% expect it to end by the end of this year.

Another 15% of respondents said they expect the war to end in the first half of 2027. 19% of respondents had no opinion on this issue.
The proportion of Ukrainians willing to endure the war as long as necessary increased to 61%, although in April of this year it had decreased to 48 percent.
During the survey, which was conducted from July 20 to August 3, 974 respondents aged over 18 and living in Ukrainian-controlled territory were surveyed.
