The sad news was announced on Sunday on the social network “Instagram” by the late man’s brother Rhodri Davies.

“With great sadness, together with Dad, we announce that my brother Owain has died,” he wrote sensitively.
According to him, the family was deeply shocked by this loss, as there are still unanswered questions about the circumstances of the death. However, the relatives understand that the actor died suddenly, naturally, and peacefully.
Rhodri also honored his brother’s memory, highlighting his love for people, friendship, and generosity. He stated that the many condolences the family has received in recent days testify to the great impact the actor left on many lives.
“Owain was lucky to have more than one family. Besides his biological family, he created special, family-like bonds with close friends, colleagues, and loved ones. I am very proud that he was not only my brother but also a brother to many others. We know that many people will grieve this loss, and we find comfort in knowing how much he was loved,” Rhodri wrote.
He promised to share more information about his brother’s funeral later and asked to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.
Owain Rhys Davies was born on February 20, 1982, in Cardiff, Wales. He gained the greatest recognition for playing Agent Wilson in the cult series “Twin Peaks” continuation “Twin Peaks: The Return” and in the series “The OA,” where he acted alongside Jason Isaacs and Brit Marling.
During his career, he also appeared in films and series such as “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” “The Indian Doctor,” “My Dead Ex,” “A Serial Killer’s Guide to Life,” and many other projects.
Success also followed him in London’s West End, where the actor performed in famous musicals and plays such as “Mamma Mia!,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “By Jeeves,” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” staged at the Royal National Theatre.
Recently, Owain had finished filming his last projects – the films “Jeff the Killer” and “La Fantasia,” which are currently in post-production.
In one of his last social media posts, the actor enthusiastically talked about working on the critically acclaimed play “The Opera Singer.”
The actor is mourned by his brother Rhodri and father Conway. His mother passed away in May 2021.
