Residents of Kėdainiai share images on social media showing trees fallen on streets and sidewalks, damaged buildings, and other storm aftermath. In some places, trees broke, elsewhere they were uprooted with all their roots.

The storm also damaged the roofs of apartment buildings. According to residents, the buildings at 22 and 40 Respublikos Street, 12 Rasos Street, and 32 S. Jaugelio-Telegos Street were damaged. On Respublikos Street, a tree fell onto a car.
Some residents of Josvainiai Street, Daumantai Gardens, Vilainiai, and other district towns and villages were left without electricity on Saturday.
There were many dangerous situations on district roads as well. On the Kėdainiai–Dotnuva road, near the “Akimirka” café, fallen trees blocked the roadway, causing traffic difficulties.
Trees fell on M. Daukša, Smilga, and Lukšys streets in the city, and in Vytautas Park a tree was uprooted.
Residents of Akademija town also suffered severe losses. Here, a falling tree completely destroyed a passenger car.

There is no electricity in the “Maxima” store located in the city center.
Residents of Kėdainiai report that an electrical wire snapped from a pole and fell onto the road on Gediminas Street. A civic-minded driver blocked the roadway with his car while waiting for service assistance.
Marius from Pelėdnagiai reports that the storm destroyed the entire tomato crop, and the greenhouse ended up on the neighbor’s woodshed roof.
Audronė from Kėdainiai reports that the storm broke many trees in Akademija town, damaged a bridge, and crushed a passing car with people inside.
Another local woman named Audronė writes: “The mighty Jaugiliai oak, about 250 years old and full of acorns, was split in half by the storm. This is a historic tree; during the interwar period, the Lithuanian flag always flew on it. The name Jaugiliai village comes from Jau-gilės; in autumn, elders used to gather acorns in this oak grove. It was the fifth oak in the Kėdainiai district and the only one not protected. Bark was stripped from one side, possibly from a traffic accident? A fungus grew, although it was treated and painted 3 years ago, and there were many mosses on top. Maybe now it can still be helped, the trunk is healthy. It’s incredibly sad; it has always accompanied me since childhood. It was a source of pride for my father, uncle, and brother. I think it is very dear to all Jaugiliai residents.”
“The path near Nevėžis is full of tree branches and broken trees. There will be a lot of work,” writes Vytautė.
