Social activity department specialist came to work slightly intoxicated

On the morning of August 17, 2026, at the Kaunas Prison of the Lithuanian Prison Service, located at Technikos St. 34, Kaunas, a social activity department specialist was found to be intoxicated before starting work.

During the first check, the employee was found to have an alcohol concentration of 0.41 per mille. After 15 minutes, a repeated check showed an alcohol concentration of 0.33 per mille.

The employee was suspended from work.

The Lithuanian Prison Service does not tolerate employees being at the workplace under the influence of alcohol or other psychoactive substances. When such cases are detected, the situation is assessed, and actions regarding the employees are decided according to the procedures established by law.
