Latvian border guards turned back 48 migrants on Saturday, while Polish officials did not turn back any on Friday.

This year, a total of 775 illegal migrants were not allowed into Lithuania. Last year, there were more than 1,600 attempts to enter the country illegally from Belarus, and the year before that, the number was 1,002.
Since the beginning of the migration crisis caused by Belarus, Lithuanian border guards have prevented more than 25,000 foreigners from entering the country illegally.
The influx of migrants into the eastern EU members from Belarus began in 2021, with the West accusing the Minsk regime of organizing it.
