„I can say that there is an offer, a clear direction, the one I have chosen. Let’s wait for the party discussion on Saturday and see,“ M. Sinkevičius told journalists in the Seimas on Tuesday.
The Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP) council will meet in Vilnius on Saturday to discuss the coalition.
He said he would propose three possible options, but did not specify which ones. He himself once again confirmed that he would campaign for one specific option, again without naming it.
M. Sinkevičius promised to decide in May whether to continue working with the „Nemuno aušra“ coalition.

However, Seimas Speaker Juozas Olekas said this week that the decision has already been made, „work is continuing, the decisions that need to be made are being made“.
M. Sinkevičius says that his task as party leader is to present several proposals.
„I will present three possible scenarios (…). I think you can guess, don’t corner me. We will say on Saturday (…). I will state the direction, my vision very clearly. There will be no statement that all three are good. I will say, in my opinion, the best choice. And I hope the party will support that decision, that vision. But the discussion must take place at the scheduled time, maintaining political procedures, without putting the party against the chairman, so that the chairman said and ‘take it or leave it’,” M. Sinkevičius assured.
