According to „TVP World“, R. Sikorski expressed hope that Russia will end „its criminal adventure“ in Ukraine before it is too late for Moscow.

Speaking on a television show, he said that the Russian president is under increasing pressure and may take reckless decisions.
„The Russian economy is beginning to face difficulties. The Russians can no longer pretend that this is just some kind of external special military operation. The question is whether Putin is ready for an agreement,“ Sikorski said on the show „On the Record“.
According to him, „Putin’s capabilities are smaller than we thought, but his intentions are even worse“.
„It is obvious that he is being misinformed. He does not have a realistic understanding of his situation and prospects. Otherwise, he would have made an agreement and ended the war that Moscow started against Ukraine in 2022,“ said the head of Polish diplomacy.

Putin – „in a dead end“
R. Sikorski warned that V. Putin’s situation may prompt him to take risky actions, especially as concerns grow that Russia may seek to expand the war beyond Ukraine’s borders into the West.
„An armed patient is still an armed man. That is why we invest so much in defense – to convince Putin that any conflict with Poland would cost him even more than his criminal war against Ukraine,“ he emphasized.
About new US sanctions on Russia
According to R. Sikorski, a good sign is that the United States has recognized that Ukraine has its own advantages and has taken very successful actions to level the balance of power.
He also expressed hope that US President Donald Trump will „honor“ the memory of the late Republican Senator Lindsey Graham and finally impose new sanctions on Russia, as the war in Ukraine has reached a critical stage.
