„Šiauliai“ officially announced the name of the new coach

The 32-year-old football specialist with a UEFA PRO license arrived in Šiauliai this July, and now he has been entrusted with leading the club’s main team.

Before joining Šiauliai, D. Lastauskas had gained experience as a head coach in Lithuania’s top league, when in 2023–2024 he led the main team of Marijampolė’s Sūduva.

“I am grateful for the trust shown. We know that a lot of work awaits us, but I believe in the team’s potential. Now the most important thing is to focus, work purposefully, and give our all in every match,” said D. Lastauskas.

Marius Gurskis will work as his assistant, and the coaching staff will continue to include goalkeeper coach Šarūnas Jurevičius, physical training coach Algimantas Trimailovas, and physiotherapists Jonas Andriulis and Dovilė Gailevičiūtė.
