SEB bank profit in Lithuania grew by 2% this year to 149 million euros

The bank’s income amounted to 247.9 million euros – 1.7% more than a year ago (252.2 million euros), SEB reported.

“In the first half of the year, residents and businesses remained financially active. The bank’s lending volumes grew: residents continued to actively borrow for housing, and businesses for long-term development projects. Changes in the second pension pillar encouraged some residents to take a greater interest in saving and investment opportunities – the bank recorded significantly increased deposit and investment volumes,” said Sonata Gutauskaitė-Bubnelienė, head of SEB bank in Lithuania, in a statement.
