A famous man announced this on social media.
“Yesterday, after a long battle with illness, my wonderful and beloved mother, a Lithuanian language specialist, poet, legendary Lithuanian language teacher, mother of three children, sister – Irena Aldona Vyšniauskaitė Baradinskienė, passed away.
She was a talented poet, a laureate already distinguished in her youth, who graduated with top marks. After completing Lithuanian studies, she became a teacher who taught many Vilnius residents and instilled that “Sąla, Bąla, Šąla” is written with a nasal vowel and successfully prepared several generations of high school graduates for exams throughout her life. A poet who published a book and printed her poems in “Šiaurės Atėnai”. She was also a translator and polyglot who spoke ten languages (including Japanese) and had friends from all over the world. But most importantly, she was the best mother to me, who taught me that in life you need to boldly follow your own path and explore the world, never give up and work hard, but not forget to live a full life. And of course, to be grateful for the time and everything I have, because everything will pass.

Mom fought cancer for fourteen years. In her last days, she did not lose her sense of humor and passed away surrounded by close family with love. Thank you, mom, for this life and thank you for giving me life. I love you.
On behalf of the family, I want to sincerely thank all relatives, friends, doctors, paramedics, nurses, caregivers, people, and acquaintances who helped my mother throughout her difficult illness.
