A second source connected to the Saudi Arabian government, who also wished to remain anonymous, confirmed that the agreement will be signed on Friday.
Saudi Arabia’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman will meet in this Red Sea city with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to the Turkish presidency, Sh. Sharif and Pakistan’s military chief Asim Munir arrived in the kingdom on Thursday for a visit lasting until Saturday, while R. T. Erdogan is expected on Friday.

Pakistan’s foreign ministry stated that the visit takes place from August 6–8.
“Although the visit takes place against the backdrop of increased tensions in the Persian Gulf, it will have significance beyond the immediate crisis and short-term circumstances,” said ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi on Thursday.
Speculation about a possible strategic alliance among these three countries has been ongoing for several months.
Pakistan sought to mediate efforts to end the US-Iran war, while Turkey played a diplomatic role in negotiations aimed at ending the war in the Gaza Strip.
Saudi Arabia and Pakistan announced a joint defense pact back in 2025. This move attracted attention because Pakistan is the only Muslim-majority country with nuclear weapons.
