The statement was issued after Poland and Ukraine claimed that Moscow obstructed a passenger train traveling to Warsaw and the area near the Polish border.

“Strikes were carried out on railway infrastructure in the western regions of Ukraine, which is used to transport military cargo from European countries,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
According to Ukraine, the strike on the train occurred just two kilometers from the border with NATO member Poland.
No people were injured during the incident, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky informed about the attacks in the western part of the country.

According to V. Zelensky, Russia deliberately attacked the train’s locomotive.
Polish authorities reported that another drone crashed near a border control point.
V. Zelensky indicated that Russia is targeting Ukraine’s railway and energy infrastructure as well as ordinary buildings, including in the western regions of the country. Moscow has intensified strikes in the fifth year of the invasion.
