It is added that the debris fell in an uninhabited area of Galați County, near the Ukrainian border.
The eastern Romanian coast by the Black Sea is very close to those areas that often become targets of attacks.
Since 2023, after Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports on the Danube River, located on the other side of the border, officials have repeatedly reported drone debris found in Romanian territory.

Last month, Romania shot down a drone for the first time since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, when it entered the country’s airspace about 100 km from Bucharest.
Similar incidents have been reported earlier elsewhere on the eastern NATO flank, including Poland and the Baltic countries.
On Friday, NATO reported that Italian fighter jets participating in the Alliance’s air policing mission shot down a drone that entered Latvian airspace.
